The Last Resort
This short film investigates environmental issues that have arisen due to human interventions and the possible consequences of this. I have expressed this through constructed scenes and a fictional narrative that draws from science, conspiracy theories and popular culture.
The climate crisis is often shown by images that feel extreme or unrealistic, which can be overwhelming and promotes fear rather than action. I have both challenged and honed into this, questioning what climate change will look like when it is at a point of no return.
We can not truly know what the future holds, meaning that we can not ignore the issues we currently face as this planet is our only option.
"The Last Resort" was exhibited in the Engine Room at Massey University, Wellington. In a team of 5, together we curated the exhibition In Between Worlds
